Anna Galas-Kosil
I am a curator and cultural manager, currently associated with the Warsaw Observatory of Culture, an Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy graduate, and a holder of the European Diploma in Cultural Project Management. From 2011 to 2017, I managed the Department of International Cooperation at the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute, where I implemented many international projects, including the Polish presentation at the Prague Quadrennial, Polish Theatre Days in Tehran, and the international programme Polska New Theatre. From 2015 to 2020, I was the President of the On the Move international network, and from 2018 to 2022, I curated international projects at Biennale Warszawa. I collaborated on projects with artists such as Marta Górnicka, Marwa Arsanios, Dima Levytski, Jonas Staal, and Paweł Wodziński. In 2021, I curated the Edible City Warsaw project devoted to food models alternative to the currently dominant industrial, agricultural model. In 2022 I curated the Common Spaces. Educational Migrations in the Context of the Cold War exhibition. I co-curated the 1st and 2nd editions of the Biennale Warszawa Let’s Organize Our Future (2019) events and Seeing Stones and Spaces Beyond the Valley (2022).
I am interested in international interdisciplinary projects and in processes where art and culture form an essential part of the dynamically changing societies of the future.
