Stage II

Po rozmowach z osobami zakwalifikowanymi do drugiego etapu komisja w składzie: Szymon Adamczak, Małgorzata Bakalarz-Duverger, Anna Galas-Kosil, Magdalena Komornicka, do udziału w programie Rezydencje WOK zaprasza:

  • Agnieszkę Glińską,
  • Veronikę Ivashkiewicz,
  • Julię Krupę,
  • Magdalenę Marcinkowską,
  • Katie Zazenski.

In accordance with the regulations, the committee has secured two applications as a backup. The following people and collective will have the right to take part in the residency in case one of the above participants resigns.

Backup list:

  • Marta Seredyńska,
  • Collective consisting of Ewa Borysiewicz, Vera Zalutskaya, and Katie Zazenski.

We would like to thank all the shortlisted participants for the inspiring conversations. During the interviews, our aim was to understand the needs of the applicants as best as possible and to determine the conditions necessary to support them in their exploration processes. In making the final decision, we also considered whether the knowledge or practice developed during the residency could be relevant in a broader cultural and social context and whether it would benefit other individuals or groups. Finally, we strived for diversity and fairness in our selection process, ensuring the representation of a variety of topics, media, and perspectives across different age groups, cultures, and ethnicities.

The shortlisted applicants who were not selected for the residency will receive feedback via email.

The Selection Committee

At the Warsaw Observatory of Culture, we are keen to ensure that the residency programmes we create are tailored to the needs of its participants. In this year’s edition, we aim to support artists and researchers exploring the processes of experiencing change.

Therefore, we would like to offer partial process support within our available resources to projects from the backup list, with special attention given to the theme of motherhood and professional development.

WOK will offer partial process support within our available resources for those whose applications were identified by the committee for the backup list. Further arrangements for the specific form of support will be worked out in cooperation with our team.

A recurring theme evident in the applications received was the issue of changes related to motherhood, particularly the challenges faced by caregivers trying to balance motherhood and professional development.

We recognise the need to meet with those who addressed this theme in their applications and reflect on what we can do together.
