Announcement: Results of Stage One Recruitment for the 4th Edition of the WOK Residency
The selection panel of the Warsaw Observatory of Culture appointed by its Director Małgorzata Bakalarz-Duverger would like to thank all applicants for their submissions. As every year, the call for applications for the residency programme gave us a unique insight into Warsaw’s artistic and research community. We read many fascinating proposals for the residency programme, all brimming with potential. We received 168 applications for this year’s edition.

We have endeavoured to ensure that the selection of applicants is as diverse and equitable as possible in terms of culture, ethnicity, age and the fields represented. We have highlighted submissions that respond to the proposed theme of experimentation in a coherent manner, whilst at the same time going beyond the authors’ conventional practices.
The interviews in the second stage are designed to get to know candidates better and to assess whether WOK can genuinely meet the ideas and needs put forward by the residency applicants.
We will contact those invited to the next stage individually.
