Valeria Troubina • Валерія Трубіна
Born in 1966, in Luhansk, Ukraine. Ukrainian artist who belongs to the artists’ circle of the Ukrainian transavant-garde art of the new wave. From 1985 to 1989 she studied at the theatre stage design department of Kyiv Art Institute (currently the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Kyiv). From 1989 to 1992 she resided in squats on Lenin street and the Paris Commune (currently Mykhailivska street). She emigrated in 1993. Now resides and works in Berkeley, California (USA). Her main media is painting.
