Miranda Zarzycka

Manager of Art and Research Projects

(any pronouns)

I am a researcher as much as a walker. At the Warsaw Observatory of Culture, I support several research projects and write various texts.

Before joining the WOK team, I conducted research in various fields: queer Warsaw, private rental in Polish cities, gentrification, and aid practices targeted at persons who came to Warsaw after February 24, 2022. Bringing a handful of experiences, I have a great curiosity about Warsaw’s nooks and crannies. These I find in co-conducted research projects: cultural education, reading education, and a project with the working title ‘In Warsaw’, in which we talk and walk around the capital, looking for experiences, anecdotes, and impressions of artists with a migration or refugee experience.

I live in Stary Mokotow (Old Mokotow district), where my neighbours and I are making quite successful attempts to practice urban gardening.
