Combining artistic endeavor with social engagement
We present a selection of projects that in various ways combine artistic endeavor with social engagement. Each piece is accompanied by a brief description, which may serve as inspiration for conducting similar actions.
The use of creative tools serves as a pretext for interaction, but also as a means of expressing emotions, or telling one’s own story. Sometimes it’s important to create a specific form, sometimes the process can be the goal itself.
As part of the exhibition, on Saturday 16.03, at 16:00, we invite you to the workshop A Little Weight I Need led by Pamela Bożek.
The workshop is an opportunity to share experiences of tension release, calming, sensory integration and recovery – both in the context of collaboration and in the context of our own daily, domestic, caring practices. It is a practical workshop for adults and for those working with children. All necessary materials are provided.
Participants are encouraged to sign up for the workshop via the form.
Jako artystka współpracuję z dziećmi i dorosłymi z doświadczeniem migracyjnym lub uchodźczym. Bycie razem, dzielenie się historiami/herstoriami, troska i praktyki opiekuńcze są tym, w czym pokładam nadzieję i co traktuję jako najważniejszą część moich działań artystycznych. Każda ze stron będących w tej relacji doświadczyła albo doświadcza napięć, których ślad pozostaje również w ciele; ich regularne obniżanie to jeden ze sposobów dbania o wspólny dobrostan.
