Karolina Gembara

I am a photographer and researcher whose work focuses mainly on the themes of home, migration and care. I also try to address local political themes. I consider photography as a tool and a pretext for collaboration, supporting creative processes. In recent years I have initiated and carried out several participatory projects involving people with refugee experience. I collaborate with the Public Protest Archive, initiating art and research projects and editing the Strike Newspapers. I am also a member of Sputnik Photos and a PhD student at the K. Kieslowski Film School in Katowice, Poland.
