Culture of Warsaw 2040 Foresight Project – Scenarios by the Young

The project offers perspectives on the development of Warsaw’s cultural offering until the year 2040. As such it goes beyond the temporal boundaries of the current policy and can help formulate future activities of the City of Warsaw. It was conducted in cooperation with the city’s Bureau of Culture and with the contribution of young people (people aged 15-26) and experts (foresight researchers and representatives of Warsaw’s cultural institutions). It was part of a student project undertaken within the territorial foresight specialisation at the Department of Spatial Management at the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Warsaw.

The results showed the directions that cultural institutions should take in view of becoming more attractive in the eyes of young people in the future. The results and the formulated recommendations can be adopted by all institutions in the development of their cultural offer.
