Agata Heft
I am the office coordinator at the Warsaw Observatory of Culture and I manage the WOK.lab, a space that can serve almost any purpose we need at any given moment, be it a workshop or exhibition space, a meeting place or a place for performative activities.
For me, every project at WOK is an opportunity to learn and contribute to the creation of something valuable. I appreciate the fact that my work engages me on so many levels. It combines organisation and creativity and, most importantly, allows me to spend time with people, which I consider the most rewarding part of the job.
Before joining WOK, I worked at the National Audiovisual Institute (later Filmoteka Narodowa) and the Powszechny Theatre in Warsaw. My background is in cultural studies. I graduated from the University of Silesia and then studied cultural management at the Jagiellonian University. I have always been interested in how culture shapes and changes society.
I like reading non-fiction books, swimming and hiking in my spare time.
