Agata Konarska
I was born in 1995. I hold a degree from the Intermedia Department at the University of Fine Arts in Poznań, earned in 2018, and another from the Media Arts Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, attained in 2023. My artistic expression spans various media, such as video, sound, and performance, as I strive to construct interactive situations and virtual realities. Within my work, I navigate the intricate realm of religiosity, traversing the realms of the sacred and the profane. I explore the phenomenon of the iconicity of women, as well as the anthropological origins of matriarchy and trace its references to the Anthropocene era. I often use political, geological, and animal motifs. Contemporary myths, rituals, and the impending apocalypse captivate my imagination. I dream of animal hybrids and the vastness of architecture.
