Virtual experiences at WOK. Reality Bender graduation project exhibition
Prepare to witness a display of original artistic strategies where artists harness the potential of virtual reality, gaming engines, real-time simulations, 3D prints and scans, ceramics, objects and video. The exhibition encompassed a wide range of themes, as the artists reflected on contemporary issues of the Anthropocene, embodiment, and identity. In their exploration of digital media, they analyse and study the interdependencies between real and virtual spaces. The title of the exhibition, Reality Bender, refers to and sometimes directly evokes the mechanisms of experiencing and perceiving reality and natural examples of its transformations.

3D and Virtual Events II Graduate Studio
Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Media Arts Department
The Studio’s objective is to endorse team and interdisciplinary activities. We believe that such activities should bring together representatives of various scientific, technological and artistic fields and not just members of the art circle. The most significant activities are created at the interface of disciplines that escape categorisation and segregation. The Studio is open to the contemporary use of new media in participatory, community, individual, interactive and multimedia experiences with a strong focus on the search for an original aesthetic – visual, audio, and interactive.
