Katarzyna Žák-Caplot
I work at the Museum of Warsaw. I am the head of the library and the coordinator of projects for people with migrant and refugee experience. I am also a Polish language teacher at the Polonicum Centre for Polish Language and Culture and a Czech language teacher at the Institute of Western and Southern Slavic Studies of the University of Warsaw. I am writing an implementation PhD dissertation in linguistics. I am a winner of five European Language Label awards. I speak Polish, Czech, Serbian, English and French.
As part of a research project, I am working with municipal cultural institutions and teachers to create scenarios for educational activities held in museums based on learning Polish as a foreign language, while at the same time transferring knowledge and skills and encouraging educators to experiment on their own in combining cultural and linguistic activities outside the classroom.
