Anna Karpenko
I studied Philosophy at Belarusian State University in Minsk, Visual Studies at European Humanities University in Vilnius, and Curatorial Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig. I hold MAs in both Sociology and Curatorial Studies and am a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA).
As a curator, I have organized exhibitions and research projects with institutions such as Badischer Kunstverein (Karlsruhe), Museum of Contemporary Art, GfZK (Leipzig), Halle 14 (Leipzig), Museum Sztuki (Lodz), Gallery Arsenal (Bialystok), Labirynth Gallery (Lublin), Future Laboratory (Luxembourg), and ifa Gallery (Berlin), among others.
As an author, my texts have been published in Springerin, BLOCK Magazine, Dwutygodnik, RTV Magazine, Magazyn SZUM, Kulturaustausch Magazine, and Berlin Art Link. I am also the author and editor of the book When The Sun Is Low – The Shadows Are Long, published by Spector Books in 2023.
